Anvers

Anvers is a family-owned boutique winery near Kangarilla, where the Adelaide Hills meet the Fleurieu Peninsula. Established in 1998, it grew from a romance that began in Belgium in 1983, when owners Wayne and Myriam Keoghan met; the name pays homage to Myriam's home town of Antwerp, Anvers in French. The vineyard, though, is proudly Adelaide Hills-focused, committed to growing and sourcing first-class local fruit.

The estate is a 16-hectare family block in the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills, built on a philosophy of quality over quantity. Anvers has won international recognition, and its Kingsway Shiraz and Chardonnay are the jewels in its crown, enjoyed by wine lovers around the world.

Up Razorback Road, a newly built restaurant, cellar door and function space marks a new era, anchored around the estate's original 1949 dairy, which has been sympathetically rebuilt with ironstone from the property and solid jarrah into an intimate tasting room. The cellar door opens Wednesday to Sunday, and the restaurant serves seasonal menus from local produce Thursday to Sunday, with lawns and panoramic vineyard views for celebrations.
