Cockfighter's Ghost is a wine brand with two distinct ranges, Single Vineyard and Black Label, and a cellar door address at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. The Single Vineyard range is vibrant, fruit-driven and elegant, representing the best of South Australia, with most of the fruit coming from the Chairman's Vineyard at Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale. The Black Label range brings together hero varieties from key wine regions, including the Hunter Valley.
Chief winemaker Xanthe Hatcher is known for highly sought-after, contemporary wine styles. In her first vintage making the Cockfighter's Ghost Single Vineyard wines she won Best Single Varietal Red at the 2017 Royal Melbourne Wine Awards and was a finalist for the Jimmy Watson Trophy.
The range covers varieties including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera and Sangiovese alongside Chardonnay, made in styles with lifted fruit and savoury complexity.
